IHF participation in the Health Finance and Investment Forum

IHF´s CEO Eric de Roodenbeke participated in the First European Edition of the Health Finance and Investment Forum (HFIF) which was held in Zagreb, Croatia.

The HFIF served as an international platform, where top health representatives and public officers from the region established a public private dialogue to link the finance and healthcare communities to upgrade and support the health care sector.

The president of Croatia, H.E. Ivo Josipovic, was present and participated in the event by sending the message that increased private sector involvement is necessary to further advance healthcare opportunities.

Mr. de Roodenbeke was a key speaker in a panel that discussed the potential and opportunities of the health care sector. Key points that were remarked in the session were the following:

  • Investment in Infrastructure and Healthcare Real Estate
  • Upgrading Hospitals & Investment in Equipment
  • Green Hospitals and Sustainable Buildings
  • Advantages of Establishing Production Industries in the Region
  • The Future of the Healthcare Sector is Digital: Growth Opportunities for eHealth and mHealth
  • Wellness & Medical Tourism: Benefitting from an Increasingly Globalized System

At the end of the event, a valuable feedback was achieved which promised to serve as an ideal starting point for present and future projects.
